This conference was held at one of Bratislava’s five-star hotels in early July, with Enjoy Slovakia DMC responsible for all ground-handling services including transfers and accompanying programme.
Our task was to provide a relaxed afternoon that would conclude with a dinner, so that the delegates could unwind after a full day of conference events. The programme began with a coach ride through the tranquil vineyard landscape around Bratislava, tracing the Small Carpathian Wine Route via small winemaking towns to end at a winery. The winery is a modern complex that combines wine production with the art&food concept. After a brief inspection of the wine producing section, delegates sampled the best vintages. They also visited the winery’s art gallery, with its collection of artworks by Andy Warhol.
Upon returning to Bratislava, we continued with a relaxed walk in the Old Town, famed for its 18th-century palaces. One of these, originally built for a chief judge of the Kingdom, served as the venue for our stylish dinner. Aperitifs were served in the palace’s bel étage and accompanied by music performed by the Kaiser String quartet. Two local art historians guided us around a private collection of modern Slovak art in an exclusive Bratislava art gallery. The courtyard dinner, featuring excellent food and wine, continued until late into the evening.
